MINUTES OF WOODHATCH WI MONDAY 13th FEBRUARY 2023

PRESIDENT EVE opened the meeting and welcomed 25 and one visitor.

UPDATES BY THE PRESIDENT.
THE JANUARY SPEAKER was Penelope Horsfell and it was agreed that we enjoyed her entertaining talk on memories of Being Mayor.
AFTERNOON TEA AT GREENSAND HOUSE SALFORDS was well attended and a pleasant afternoon was spent with Residents accompanied by a delicious Afternoon Tea.
MEAL AT ARTO was a success
SATURDAY BRUNCH AT CORZO LOUNGE After a slow start, service improved and members agreed they would return .
MILLER CENTRE “THE THREE MUSKETEERS” was enjoyed
HARLEQUIN THEATRE “THE CRUCIBLE” membersfound interesting
THE EVENING ACTIVITY We spent a very happy evening making red decorated felt blood drops to raise awareness to the WIs "Make a Match" campaign that raises awareness of the lack of stem cell donors for people with blood cancer. which are now hanging in the WOODHATCH Centre.
The President reminded members to look at the Boards Table during coffee to sign up for events.
CORRESPONDENCE Members attention was drawn to the SURREY NEWS MAGAZINE PAGE 3 for events within Surrey. A copy of which was on the Boards Table.
SFWI Speaker Auditions are on Monday 6th March - Board Available for attendance.

Polesden Lacey NT. Friday 3rd March 10 - 11 am. This volunteer-led free walk takes one hour and is approximately 1-2 miles. Walkers should be sufficiently fit. Meet at 10 am at the Coffee Shop.
